Sweden says some of Nord Streams investigation may be kept secret

ZURICH, Jun 22 (PRIME) – Some of the investigation materials of attacks on the Nord Streams gas pipelines can be classified, a spokesperson for the Swedish Prosecution Authority told PRIME on Thursday.

"If an indictment is drawn up, part of the investigation materials will probably be made public. In general, the Swedish prosecutor may also decide that some parts (of the investigation) should remain confidential," the official said.

Sweden will not release the investigation materials if no indictment is presented and the investigation is discontinued, the official said.

Sweden's Prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist heading the investigation of sabotage on Nord Streams said earlier in June that the authority planned to present accusations against the perpetrators in September–November.
